FEDEX & UPS RATE COMPARISON TOOL
USE OF THIS TOOL:
This tool allows you to compare two different sets of UPS rate schedules and/or FedEx rate schedules for domestic transportation services. It will account for all variance in carrier rate schedules when performing a UPS vs FedEx rate comparison.
STEP 1 : COMPARISON TYPE
First, choose whether you prefer the comparison cost difference to be represented in dollars ($) or percentages (%).
STEP 2 : CARRIER, RATE GUIDE YEAR, SERVICE TYPE
Select the carrier, rate guide year, and service type to be compared in option #1 and option #2.
STEP 3 : MINIMUM CHARGE
In the event that a minimum net charge exists in either option #1 or #2, enter the amount in the “Minimum Charge” fields.
STEP 4 : CARRIER DISCOUNTS
Use the carrier discount field(s) to enter the sum (this sum should include all applicable custom discounts, revenue discounts, and/or deferred discounts) of the delivery service incentives (discounts) being offered respectively by Carrier Option #1 and Carrier Option #2. Use the “All Weight Breaks” field to apply a discount to all weights. If discounts vary based on weight, use the “Individual Weight Break” discount fields to indicate such.
STEP 5 : COMPARE
Click on the “Compare” button when you are ready to generate a FedEx and/or UPS rate comparison report to compare shipping rates. Use the FedEx & UPS Rates Calculator to generate and view net rate sheets for all domestic transportation services.
